Notifications

Jam Jam lets you know when it matters: a new follower, a song imported, a reply to your feedback. Here is what you can receive, what is on by default, and how to control it all.

What you can receive

Your account

Sign-in code, welcome message, security alert, removal of one of your items, updates on your reports.

By default On. Notice of a removal cannot be turned off: the law requires us to give it to you.

Your content

Analysis ready, karaoke video ready, reply to your feedback, free days of Premium, required app update.

By default On, on your phone and by e-mail. You can turn it off.

Your circle

Follow request, new follower, a song liked, commented on, imported or sent by another account.

By default On, on your phone. By e-mail, if you do not get notifications on your phone: a summary at most every 14 days, only when there is something new for you, with no suggestions. You can turn it off.

Reminders

When you have not been back for a while, a reminder that carries a real fact: a song published by an account you follow, one of your songs imported. Never “we miss you”.

By default On, on your phone; by e-mail only if you have accepted news. At most one a week and three a month, news included, and further apart if you do not open them.

Jam Jam news

New features in the tools you use, an important new version, Premium offers.

By default Only if you have agreed, from the age of 15. At most two a month.

How to control everything

  1. Settings → Notifications, on mobile and on the web: “What you receive” turns a whole family off in one tap (My circle, My content and my account, Reminders when something happens, Jam Jam news). In the mobile app you will also find “Mute all”.

  2. Type by type: just below, the detailed settings. For each type, choose Push, Bell and/or Mail.

  3. Quiet hours: in the same settings, pick a time range during which no social notification reaches your phone. Follow requests, their answers and moderation decisions still arrive immediately.

  4. On your phone: the system settings (Notifications, then Jam Jam) can also block everything.

Unsubscribe in one click

Every e-mail that is not directly about your account has an “Unsubscribe from these emails” link at the bottom. It opens a page where you confirm with one button, without signing in, and that kind of e-mail stops right away. Your mail app may also show its own unsubscribe button: it does the same thing. E-mails about your account (security, moderation, updates on a report) link to your settings instead.

News, only if you want it

After you create your account, Jam Jam asks whether you also want the news: “Yes, with the news” or “Just the essentials”. Both buttons carry the same weight and nothing is pre-selected. On your phone, your choice covers notifications and e-mails; on the web, e-mails. You can change your mind at any time, channel by channel, in Settings → Notifications. News is reserved for people aged 15 or over.

Paid for Premium? You may receive news about Jam Jam and Premium by e-mail even if you have not accepted news, and never offers from other brands. We tell you when you buy, with a link to refuse, and you can object at any time, in Settings or in one click from any of these e-mails. Free trials and free days do not count.
