Free online tuner
A precise chromatic tuner for guitar, ukulele, bass and violin — right in your browser.
The Jam Jam online tuner listens to your instrument through your microphone and tells you, in real time, which note you are playing and whether you are sharp or flat. Nine instruments come with their own presets — guitar, bass, ukulele, guitalele, mandolin, banjo, violin, viola and cello, 20 tunings in all — and a chromatic mode, accurate to ±5 cents, covers everything else. No download, no account, no ads: open the page and tune. The tuner is one screen of Jam Jam, the app that finds your songs’ chords, keeps them in a notebook and plays them back.
How to tune your guitar online
Allow the microphone
Open the tuner and grant microphone access — audio stays on your device, nothing is uploaded.
Play one string
Pluck a single open string. The tuner detects the pitch and shows the target note (E A D G B E for standard guitar).
Match the needle
Turn the peg until the needle is centred and turns green — you are perfectly in tune.
Repeat for each string
Work through every string. The chromatic mode also handles drop D, DADGAD, half-step down and any alternate tuning.
Not your average online tuner
9 instruments, not just guitar
Guitar, bass, ukulele, guitalele, mandolin, banjo, violin, viola and cello — each with its own tunings, 20 in total.
Alternate tunings built in
Drop D, DADGAD, Open G, Open D, Drop C, half-step down, ukulele low-G and baritone, and more.
Auto string detection + lock
It finds the nearest string on its own, or tap to lock one — and each string plays a reference note in its real instrument voice.
