Why the price differs by channel?
It’s the same Premium everywhere, but the price isn’t the same depending on where you buy it, and we’d rather show you exactly why.
When you buy through Google Play or the App Store, the store applies VAT and then takes a 15% commission on the sale. The higher store price exists only so that Jam Jam ends up with the same amount (~€3/month) it would from a web purchase. On the web, nobody takes a commission: which is why the web price is the fair one.

So the difference is entirely the store’s commission passed through, to the euro: not extra margin for us. Wherever you buy, you get the very same Premium, unlocked on every platform.
A few honest notes
- “Lifetime” means Premium for as long as the Jam Jam service is operated. In other words, if Jam Jam were ever to shut down, you could still use the app, but server sync and any features that depend on it would stop working. That said, rest assured: Jam Jam fully intends to stick around and stay accessible.
- Cancel anytime, from wherever you subscribed: Google Play, the App Store or your web account.
- Free 7-day trial on the monthly and yearly plans, only for people who have never subscribed (account or e-mail address). Nothing is charged during the trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, the first payment is taken on that date at the displayed price, then the subscription renews. No trial for the "lifetime" plan. If Google Play or the App Store offers you a free trial, nothing is charged during the announced period; if you do not cancel before it ends in the store's subscription settings, the subscription becomes paid and renews. The trial is managed by the store, once per store account.
- Prices include VAT and may evolve if the infrastructure requires it: we’ll always be upfront about it. A price change only ever applies to new subscriptions: if you are already subscribed, you keep your price for as long as you don’t cancel.

I bought Premium on my phone: does it work on the web?
Yes. Premium is a single subscription tied to your account: buy it once, in the app or on the web, and it unlocks everywhere. Mobile and web. You never need to pay twice.
Why is it more expensive via Google Play or the App Store?
Because the store takes a commission (15%) on every in-app purchase, after VAT. The higher store price only offsets that commission so Jam Jam nets the same as a web purchase. Concretely: on the web (jam-jam.org), €3/mo · €25/yr · €99.99 lifetime; on Google Play, ≈€4.29/mo · €35.99/yr · €139.99 lifetime; on the App Store (iOS, once the app is released), €4.29/mo · €35.99/yr · €139.99 lifetime. It’s the same Premium everywhere.
How do I cancel?
From wherever you subscribed. Subscribed via Google Play → manage it in Google Play; via the App Store → in your Apple subscriptions; via jam-jam.org → in your web account. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
Where does the money go?
To keeping Jam Jam independent: it funds one developer’s work and the running costs. Servers, storage and email. No investors, no trackers, no reselling your data.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, on the web: 7 days free on the monthly and yearly plans, only for people who have never subscribed (account or e-mail address). Nothing is charged during the trial; the first payment, at the price of the plan you choose, is taken when the 7 days end unless you cancel before, from “Cancel my subscription”, at no cost. There is no trial on the lifetime plan. In the mobile app, a free trial only appears if Google Play or the App Store offers one.
