Real-time AI chord detection

The Jam Jam chord detector listens through your microphone and recognises the chords and notes you play in real time. Strum a chord on your guitar or piano and it names it instantly (14 chord qualities across all 12 keys, 168 chords in total) and shows the notes it hears, along with the key and the tempo. What it recognises goes straight to your chord notebook, and the key it reads can lock the online keyboard. No download, no account: it runs in your browser.

How to find chords by ear

  1. Allow the microphone

    Open the detector and grant mic access: the audio is analysed on your device, never uploaded.

  2. Play a chord

    Strum or press a chord on guitar, piano or any instrument.

  3. Read the chord name

    Jam Jam names the chord live and shows the individual notes it detects.

  4. Save it to your songbook

What the detector hears does not stay there: the chord lands in your notebook to rebuild the whole song, and the key it reads locks the online keyboard so the right notes light up under your fingers. That chain (ear, notebook, keyboard) runs in the browser and offline in the Android app.

Can it really find the chords I play?

Yes. It listens through your microphone and names the chord in real time, then shows the notes it hears: instantly, as you play.

Does it work for piano and guitar?

Yes, for any instrument. It recognises 14 chord qualities (major, minor, seventh, suspended, diminished and more) on each of the 12 keys, straight from the sound.

Is my audio sent to a server?

No. What you play into the mic is analysed on your device and never uploaded: your playing stays private. (Only if you drop in an audio file on the web can you choose to have it analysed on our server, which deletes it right after.)
