About Jam Jam

Jam Jam is a free music app to tune, find the chords of a song, keep a songbook and play the keyboard. It runs in the browser, on Android, and on iOS in public beta. It is published in France by Titouan Wattelet, a sole trader.

Who publishes Jam Jam

Jam Jam is published by an individual based in France, as a sole trader. The site and the service are hosted in France. The legal notice gives the full identity of the publisher and the host.

  • Publisher Titouan Wattelet, Sole trader (French “entrepreneur individuel”, micro-enterprise)

What Jam Jam does

Each need covered has its own page, saying what the tool does, on which platform, and what is free.

Verifiable principles

  • Usable for free

The site’s tools open with no account and nothing to install. The songbook needs a free account, with written limits: 50 songs, 10 imports, 10 exports and 15 audio file analyses per week, counter reset on Monday.

  • The microphone stays on your device

Microphone audio from the tuner and live chord detection is analysed on your device; it is neither recorded nor sent.

  • An uploaded audio file is deleted

When you choose the online analysis of an audio file, it goes to our server in France. It is neither published, nor shared, nor tied to your account, and it is deleted when processing ends. The “Where to run audio analyses” setting lets you keep everything on your device.

  • No ads on the web

The site and the web app show no advertising. The mobile app may show ads, never to Premium subscribers.

  • Numbers you can check

The numbers published on this site (chords recognised, tunings, sounds, quotas) are recounted from the app’s code by an automated check.

Platforms and languages

Jam Jam runs in the browser (jam-jam.org/app), on Android (Google Play) and on iOS in public beta through TestFlight, not yet on the App Store. The songbook syncs across these devices; offline mode is specific to the mobile apps.

The app is translated into 10 languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Japanese and Korean.
