Convert almost any music file into a songbook, and build on our new API

Jam Jam already turned audio into chords and lyrics. The same server pipeline now reads PDFs, photos, scanned sheet music, MIDI, ChordPro, plain text and pasted web pages too, and can produce whichever output you actually need in return. It runs on jam-jam.org/app/convert, in the mobile app, and now behind a public API.

One converter, many formats in

Drop an audio file, a PDF, a photo of a chord sheet, a scanned score, a MIDI file, ChordPro, plain text or a link to a lyrics page, and Jam Jam turns it into a real songbook: chords, lyrics, key, tempo, or notation, depending on what the file contains. The result lands in an editable preview before anything is exported or saved, so you can fix a missed chord or a misread word first. We do not fetch audio from YouTube or Spotify: a link stays a reference, you upload your own recording.

Export to the format you actually need

From that same songbook, export a PDF of the chords or the lyrics, a karaoke video, MIDI, MusicXML, ChordPro, LRC or SRT subtitles, a transposed or capo version, or chord diagrams for guitar, ukulele and piano. Web, mobile app and API all run through the exact same conversion service, so a file gives the same result wherever you drop it.

Free to try, an API if you build things

No account needed for three conversions a day. A free account raises that to the same weekly quota your songbook exports and imports already use (10 a week each); Premium removes the limit inside the app. Developers get a public API at jam-jam.org/developers with its own key, 10 conversions a week free or 500 a month on Premium, and the same 24-hour retention as everywhere else: uploaded files and results are deleted a day after you send them.
