Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Jam Jam mobile app and the jam-jam.org website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. The Service
Jam Jam is a music companion: a chord notebook, jam tools, melody editor, import helper and backing-track generator. The core app runs on your device and is fully usable without an account and without an internet connection.
2. Accounts
An account is optional and only enables social and sync features. You sign in with an email one-time code or a supported provider (e.g. Google). You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your email. A single device is active per account at a time.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the songs, chords, lyrics, melodies and other content you create or import (“Your Content”). Your songs are stored on your device. If you choose to share content with friends or make it public, you grant us a limited licence to host and transmit it solely to provide those features.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, import and share Your Content. Do not upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights. Sharing is intended for private and friend-to-friend use, not for public redistribution of copyrighted works.
4. Acceptable use
- Don’t break the law or infringe others’ rights.
- Don’t upload illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit material (avatars are moderated).
- Don’t abuse, overload, reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Don’t impersonate others or create fake accounts.
5. Automatic Assistant
The in-app Automatic Assistant helps clean up imported songs and suggest content. It runs to assist you; results may be imperfect and you remain responsible for what you keep and how you use it.
6. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data. The app stores your songs locally — keep your own backups.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
